Sharon Woolf first made a major impact as the vocalist on the UK No. 1 and platinum worldwide hit “Sweet Like Chocolate”. This followed another major single “Straight From The Heart” which was a hit when first released, reaching number 20 in the UK charts and then went straight in at number 9 on its second release after “Sweet Like Chocolate”. After finishing her tour, Sharon signed a major publishing deal and now concentrates on songwriting.

Her extensive collaborations in UK, US, Europe and Asia have resulted in several successful international singles and album cuts.

Sharon co-wrote and recorded lead vocals with Norman Cook on the Fatboy Slim worldwide single/video “Champion Sound” which was also released on the new Fatboy Slim Greatest Hits album (USA version).

In the US Sharon collaborated with Mathew Knowles’ Music World Entertainment Company on material for his Urban roster (Destiny’s Child, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, and Mason Road etc.). as well as having co-written country music in Nashville with several hit songwriters on major label projects. In the UK, Sharon has written with Liberty X and most recently has been co-writing with Natasha Hamilton (Atomic Kitten) for a new album.

In Europe, Sharon has been co-writing in Germany with multi-platinum artist/producer Mousse T – they now have the first single on the forthcoming record for Emma Landford. Also, Sharon has a track on Sony/BMG artist “Do” which has just gone top 10 in Europe.

Sharon has also had hit singles with Gudrun (Universal), Zynergy (EMI), and C-Stones (Capitol Records) as well as four new tracks on their new album. In Asia, Sharon has co-written a single and album track for multi-million selling artist Karen Mok (Sony).

Sharon is a very versatile writer that works in several different music genres. She is also one of the only outside writers to have ever collaborated with Mike Rutherford and Paul Carrack on Mike & The Mechanics. She currently has two tracks on their Greatest Hits album as well as their recent live DVD, both of which were released in the UK and Europe (Virgin) and in the USA (Warners).

Sharon Woolf has also had a chapter dedicated to her songwriting in the British Academy of Composers & Songwriters new book on the craft of songwriting; “Heart & Soul”, alongside chapters by Holland, Dozier & Holland, Billy Steinberg, Rick Nowels, Guy Chambers, etc., which was published recently to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ivor Novello Awards.
